I am currently working on a Babette Blanket, Groovy Bag, Dishcloths and charity squares.
The Babette:
This is a really cool combination of different size squares, done in a solid granny-style. Here's a photo of what I've done so far. I will be using the finished blanket as a coverlet for my bed. Alot of squares to make!! Here's a link to other Babettes that have been done, this will give you an idea of what it will look like when its finished.
This is a bag I made as part of a Crochet-Along on Crochetville, but I haven't whipstitched together yet. (I hate that part!!) I also have to make a handle for it.
Dishrags so far:
White/yellow/red, red/yellow/blue, and these I have pics of. I like doing these because they work up pretty quick and they are really reallynice to do dishes!!
Charity Squares :
(for a granny who has now has custody of her 3 grandsons) These are 8" solid granny blocks. I have 1 more in the black to finish up and 3 that are red, then I can mail them off to her. Her grandsons were removed from their stepfather because of abuse, and she is putting together the squares while teaching them crochet to make them each their own afghan.
Hello! Thank you for visiting LadiBug Landing. My name is Crissie and I'm married to my best friend, a mom of 2 and a step-mom to 3. I have lived on the Eastern Shore all my days, in all 3 states: MD, DE, VA, and now back to DE.
I enjoy any type of crafting, but especially love to crochet, and am currently "collecting" embroidery ideas and patterns. I have purchased a couple books, but just haven't sat down to do any of it...yet. That is my goal for 2011...to get at least 1 embroidery project done. Wish me luck!!
